My daily walk sometimes takes me through the forest to a small public garden/park -
I'm on a mission to clock 10,000 steps a day (not always successful, I have to add ). Recently, I have noticed decorated rocks placed at random spots along the path - presumably made by kids (or adults?) There seems to be a new one every day. It has been great finding them everywhere that I now look out for them. They are such lovely little finds in these unusual
times.
When I finally make it to the beautiful public garden, I am greeted by lovely blooming flowers. I always make a stop here for at least 10 minutes. I take in the grounds, close my eyes or read a page from my favourite book - opening the mind within. I look forward to this small pause in my walk and I use the time to reflect and say a quiet thank you for all the goodness I have received. There is beauty around us - life is truly beautiful if we can stop or pause and enjoy the abundant gifts it offers daily.
Here are some pictures of the flowers that greet me each day in the park:
The butterfly is a flying flower
The flower a tethered butterfly
